THE STAFF
Randy Rosness, Executive Director

"Born to be wild", but working at a not-for-profit nonetheless!  Since I can't play center-field for the Yankees, this is the next best thing:  to be privileged to serve, direct operations and even sing for so many years at the Goleta Valley Community "Center", the heart of our community in so many ways.
Dorothy Turner, Manager

The GVCC is home!  Where else can I open my window onto a beautiful courtyard with musical fountains?  Where else can visitors find the center mascot (our resident Shih-tsu, Princess, and she is!) enthroned on the receptionist’s desk? Where else could I find an environment that so fully utilizes my talents & skills, whether it is singing or accounting or speaking Spanish?  Clearly the last 30 years of life and work experience have uniquely prepared me for the GVCC.
Amy Mallett, Senior Director

I have been the Director of the Goleta Valley Senior Center for the past 5 years and have worked within the senior population for 15 years.  I am excited to be a member of the Elder & Dependent Adult Abuse Prevention Council as well as a Council Member for the Area Agency on Aging.  I love my work here at the GVCC and am proud of the services we offer to the senior population.

Candy Whilt

I arrived at the GVCC, armed with 30 years of administrative and accounting skills acquired in the private sector and assimilated quickly and happily into the GVCC family.  It’s terrific to work with friends.  I love to greet and help everyone who visits us here.  Opportunities to make new friends and to welcome all who enter, make each day a new and pleasurable experience.  Unfortunately, I don’t sing, like Randy & Dorothy.
